Mnp CM N.Biren Singh distributed cash award  to Police

IMPHAL, June 21,2022:   MANIPUR Chief Minister Nongtongbam  Biren Singh lauded  and distributed cash award of Rs.7 lakh and Rs. 8 lakh respectively to Tengnoupal and Thoubal District Police at the CM's Secretariat on Monday for massive drugs seizures.

Since the beginning of War on Drugs 2.0, the Tengnoupal police have been able to seize 3984 kgs of contraband items that include WY Tablets, Brown Sugar, Crystal Meth, among others, and worth approximately 127 crore 29 lakh and 12 thousand rupees in international market.

Nevertheless, Thoubal Police team were also appreciated with commendation certificate by CM of Manipur for busting a narcotic drug factory at Moijing Mina Bazaar where 222.85 kgs of suspected brown sugar was seized  along with 134 litres of a morphinated liquid solution on the 14th of this month.
