Major Rivers flowing above flood lever in Imphal valley

IMPHAL, June 21,2022: ACCORDING to information received from the Department of Water Resource, following are the water level of major rivers flowing through Imphal valley area.
Imphal River at Minuthong at 5 pm on Sunday was 787.00 mm while its warning level is 785.900 mm and flood level is 786.900 mm. The water level recorded at Lilong area was 780.700 mm at 5 pm Sunday; while its warning level is 780.350 mm and flood level is 781.350 mm.
Nambul River: Water level at Hump Bridge was 782.225 mm at 5 pm; its warning level is 781.175 mm and flood level is 782.175 mm.
Thoubal River: Water level was 774.00 mm at 5 pm; its warning level is 778.915 mm and flood level is 779.915 mm.
Manipur River: The water level reached 762.200 mm at 5 pm, while its warning level is 769.280 mm and flood level is 769.300.
Iril River: Its water level was 774.500 mm at 2 pm, while its warning level is 786.700 mm and flood level is 787.700 mm.
Nambol River TheWater level stood at 774.400 mm at 2 pm; its warning level is 772.700 mm and flood level is 773.700 mm.
To control the situation, gate number 2 and 3 of Ithai Barrage were opened. All gates of Imphal Barrage were also opened.
