2-Youths from Ukhrul drown at Litan river; 1-fishd out dead; 1 missing

UKHRUL,Sep' 3,021: TWO youth reportedly drown in notorious Litan and TM Kasom river in Ukhrul district this evening.
The incident occurred at around 4:45pm of September 3 in between Litan and TM section of the river.
One of the two youths was fished out dead while the other youths is still missing till the time of filing this report.
According to report four youths were travelling from Imphal and had a stoped in the river between Litan Sareikhong and TM Kasom for swimming which is near Imphal - Ukhrul National Highway.
The four youths are, PS Khanthing (27years), S/o Jonathan of Tangrei, Toningam Chiphang (23 yrs), S/o Reichumthing Chiphang of Tangrei, Ukhrul have drawn on the river wave.
The other two friends, L S Lanhor (28 yrs), S/o (L) Sangreiyo of Greenland Ukhrul and Makanmi Saiza (26 yrs), S/O Pamring Saiza of Tangrei, Ukhrul are stated to be save.
Amongst the four youths - Khanthing and Tonmingam have been reportedly drowned in the river at around 4;45pm. And the incident/matter was report to the Litan Police station by the two friends after their friends were missing for over 40 minutes, the source adds.
On hearing the news, it was reported that Liran police team under the supervision of Litan OC Apem Ngalung rushed the spot and frantically made a search operation for the drowned youths which was later joined by nearby villagers, it states.
PS Khanthing (27years), S/o Jonathan of Tangrei lwas fished out dead around 6:45pm while Tonmingam Chiphang remain traceless till the filing of this report.
Source further informed that families members fiorm Ukhrul and the surrounding villagers are searching for the missing body.
