ATSUM requests HAC’s stated position on induction of 9 new members

UKHRUL,Sep' 3,021:  THE  All Tribal Students Union Manipur (ATSUM) on Thursday urged the Chairman of Hill Area Committee, Manipur, and other Committee Members to make their stated position with regard to the induction of nine new members in the HAC within 72 hours or before noon of September 6, 2021.

“With regard to the Orders issued by the Secretary of the Manipur Legislative Assembly vide orders no. 5/11(2)202-LA (Secy) dated September 1, 2021 with regard to the induction of 9 (nine) new members in the Hill Area Committee, Manipur, ATSUM requests you to kindly make your stated position on the same within 72 hours (or before noon of September 6, 2021),” said a letter written to the Chairman of HAC by ATSUM General Secretary, SR. Andria.

The Tribal Body also requested the Chairman to obtained the position of the respective members of the Hill Area Committee along with it.

Mentioned may be made that the Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly on Wednesday issued an Orders which inducted altogether nine Legislative Members from the nine Assembly segments of the Valley area as new members of Hill Area Committee.
The Speaker inducted the new members on alledged grounds of Article 371C, Presidential Orders 1972, Delimitation Act and other relevant laws.
