La Ganesan to be sworn in as Manipur Governor

Aug' 26, 2021: GOVERNOR designate La Ganesan, who will be taking oath as the 17th Governor of Manipur, arrived in the state on Thursday afternoon.
On his arrival at the Raj Bhawan, Imphal he was felicitated by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Speaker Y Khemchand, council of ministers and other high ranking officials of the state government. He will be taking oath as the new governor of Manipur on Friday.
La Ganesan was also given the guard of honour by a contingent of Manipur Police. Ganaesan was appointed as the new governor of Manipur by President Ram Nath Kovind on August 22, succeeding the interim governor of Manipur Ganga Prasad.
La Ganesan is a senior BJP leader, presently serving as the party's national council member and a former Rajya Sabha MP.
