Six dead 50 fear missing at Noney Landslides

June 30,2022: AT least 6 (six) dead bodies have been found and four rescued while over 50 persons are missing following a massive landslides that occured last night at the Railways construction company camp site near Makhuam ( Marangching Part -5).
Consequent to the landslides Noney District has been totally blocked and innundated by the debris and mudslides at the Izei river.
According to the locality ,some army personals and labours might have burried inside the debris .
Now ,the people living in the downstream along the Izei river bank feel apprension that once the river water break the ban and flows down then all the land and paddy fields and property will be completely submerged .
At the same time Noney - Imphal road has been cutoff since last evening due to landslides near Kotlen. Vehicular moment diverted to Bisnupur - Khoupum road.
Rescue operation is going on till the time of filing this report.
