Assam - Nagaland withdraws its Police forces from Border areas.

Aug' 2021: THE dismantling and withdrawal of all temporary huts, tents, bunkers and disengagement of security forces from both Assam and Nagaland at Vihoto area, Vikuto village was completed yesterday.

The process was completed under the supervision of the joint committee that was set up earlier by both Assam and Nagaland.. The dismantling of camps and withdrawal of troops, was initiated on Monday, was delayed due to heavy rainfall.
It may be mentioned that the Chief Secretaries of Nagaland and Assam signed an agreement on July 31 to de-escalate the tense situation prevailing in the border area and withdraw police forces from.
